I think that whole Dumbledore is gay was a revisionist PR move although it makes the Half-Blood Prince movie really creepy when you see him pushing Harry towards another creepy old dude (Slughorn). Actually, it pretty much ruined the movie for me because it put context and overtones into a lot of situations which the book naively failed to evoke.
