Curacao (1993)

no trailer for this one, sorry!

Gil?  And George C. Scott?

Ok, so maybe he just always plays himself.  This movie is Grissom set as a disgraced CIA agent that is neither killed or put in jail but put on ice for no apparent reason other than as bait.  Watch awkward plot points negotiate a dark room full of sharp corners if you want or just skip it.  Either way.

William Petersen as an inglorious poonhound was a little off-putting, kind of like the rest of the movie.  It does a nice job of casting the CIA as a bureaucracy full of people who aren’t really evil but more career oriented than good.  Our sort of hero is sort of at odds with his old employer which sort of continues the dialogue of intelligence agencies being in the antagonist role.
