The Recruit (2003)

I liked it.  Colin Farrell bought what he was selling in this movie but it was still good.

The plot is vaguely reminiscent of what you’d get if you mated Mindhunters with Training Day.

I think folks have a pretty exciting view of the potential hiring processes of what for a long time was an old boys bureaucratic establishment.  The way those folks burn through receptionists and secretaries?  Those girls will be stabbing and shooting each other at each yearly recruitment drive.  You want to see hot, barely restrained savagery and bloodlust?  Try the women trapped in dead end jobs in small offices.  I think unfortunately the rating would be NC-17 or unrated.

Let’s just stick with the spies then.
