It’s a curious repetition but I can’t really figure out what it means.
Pseudorandom number generator comes to mind but what would the seed number be?
Plus, wouldn’t this be a little out of the realm of “pencil-and-paper” cryptography?

Leftover from K3 either as a clue or misdirection is my opinion.
A man named Christopher Farmer published a “Solution to K4″ in 2008. In my opinion the actual solution is a bunch of hogwash. However, he made some good observations, one of which was that the “X Can you see anything Q” may correspond to the QQ in k4 which is followed by “PRNG”. So he lined up the “PRNG…” in k4 with the “PRNG…” in k3 and then went on from there to get his solution. He also referenced the morse code which says “T is your position”. In K3, “PRNG” is right after “T”.
I went after the first “Q” in K4 and noted the string between the SS’s. The string being “O TWTQSJQ”. I noted that “Between Subtle Shading (SS)” lies….”Iqlusion”. Which has the same length as the aforementioned string. So using Pi=Ci-Ki (Mod 26), I got JD SCHLER. Who is JD Schler?
Now…The only reason I did the above was because of the observation made by Mr. Farmer. I’m not going any further with this because 1) I think Mr. Farmer is full of it, and 2) I don’t see any other clues to lead me down this road. As I’ve been attempting to solve this last part I’ve tried to think about the method that an artist would use to encrypt a message and how he would encrypt the message back in the late 90s. I’ve also been trying to read EVERYTHING that Mr. Sanborn has said about his message. This leads me to where I am stuck now…I think it is a good place to be stuck.
In reference to the misspellings and the “ENDYAHR”, he has been cited as saying something to the effect of “Has anyone figured out what that means yet, that is important”. Noting that the YA and the R are superscripts, I first looked for an encryption algorithm that was around back then that had a similar appearance (i.e., X^abY^c). I found a couple, one being the Diffie Hellman algorithm (and other exponential ciphers). Doing a little reading I found that the first exponent used in the exponential cipher is a large prime and the second a relative prime to the first. So I went and counted the positions of the mispellings. In K1, the Q in “iQlusion” appears at character 57, in K2 the mispelling is at 116, and in K3 the mispelling is at 11.
Since we have 3 misspellings up to this point I assumed that the 2 characters D^YA suggests that the first 2 misspellings go with the D^YA and the 3rd goes with H^R. YA = 57 + 116 = 173 and R = 11. Guess what…173 is a prime number and 11 is relatively prime to 173 (Right?). So…now what?

I’ve always been against the enigma hypothesis for K4 mostly because it’s supposed to be solvable via pencil and paper plus we would be up against an essentially unsolvable cipher because we would have no notion of pin or rotor settings.
